We are a group of classic car owners that really value detailed documentation.
Why, you ask?
Anyone who has bought (or sold) a classic or vintage car knows three things from their own experience:
1) A vehicle in "Excellent" condition is worth more than the same car in "Good" condition.
2) Establishing whether a car is in "Excellent" versus "Good" condition is rarely an easy thing to do.
3) The quality of repair and restoration done is hugely important.
Visually inspecting a classic car only takes you so far because you can ’t see inside its most important parts – the engine, transmission, body and frame. It is far easier to assess the condition of a classic car when it has detailed records of the repair, restoration and maintenance work performed. Understanding who performed the work, when it was done, if they used OEM parts and the related costs provides insight into both the quantity and quality of work done one the vehicle.. It is not an understatement to say that the better the documentation, the easier it for the Buyers... and Sellers.
That's why well documented vehicles are always worth more than ones that aren't.
